2007-2008 Highlights

Literary Characters Social Networking
Students in Linda Vasu's Humanities classes chose a character from one of the second semester novels:  Siddhartha, Haruoun and the Sea of Stories, Keeping Corner, My Brother Sam is Dead, A Separate Peace. They fleshed out a profile for their chosen character on our social networking site with images, blog entries, and multimedia files.

Siddhartha Cinquains
The Siddhartha Cinquain Poems represent the integration of the Humanities and Music Curriculum with Linda Vasu and David Gordon.  Utilizing the vocabulary from the book, Siddhartha, students composed their own poems and accompanied them with original music using the performance concepts of vocal technique, instrumental improvisation, form, tempo, and dynamics.

Music of India
David Gordon's Music students are studying the music of India with a concentration on the tabla drum.

Siddhartha Wiki
7th graders read Herman Hesse's Siddhartha and posted responses to Linda Vasu's questions on their wiki pages.
